Restaurant Roof

Restaurant roofs present a couple of unique problems that Commonwealth Roofing specializes in solving.

1. Restaurants usually have a large number of rooftop units for kitchen vents, cooler compressors, and air conditioners.  This means that there are a lot of flashing details for curbs, vents & pitch pockets & these are the most common source of problems on any flat roof.

2. Most importantly, those kitchen vents expel animal fats which always end up on the roof as a greasy mess. Worse than the mess, is the fact that all but one commonly-used roofing material are eaten away by animal fats.   Built-up, modified asphalt, EPDM (rubber), TPO & polyurethane foam (PUF) are all seriously compromised by this grease.

Only PVC is inherently resistant to animal fats.

Commonwealth Roofing is a Master Elite Contractor for Duro-Last PVC Roofing.

Duro-Last solves the first problem with restaurant roofing by prefabricating the roof system to fit the building & each curb & vent penetration.

These factory pre-made flashings provide more dependability than field fabricated flashings, so the critical details remain trouble free for years.

Also, because Duro-Last is PVC, it is resistant to the animal fats that are ever-present with restaurant roofing.
